and Computing Core Certification)
This internationally-recognised qualification meets the requirements of
the Kiwi Computer Challenge and is a great foundation qualification for
everyone.
What is IC3?
IC3
is the first truly global certificate for core internet and computer
skills where everyone around the world sits exactly the same exams (3 x
45 minute exams). Available in 141 countries and 24 languages, it
provides a clear benchmark for key technology skills.
A
team of 400 world experts in digital literacy has designed the
up-to-date IC3 syllabus.
What is covered in the IC3 Programme?
The
IC3 programme is made up of three modules, covered in the
following three courses.
Computer
Fundamentals
This course covers core
information about computers that everyone should know.
You’ll learn about how computers work, trouble shooting,
maintaining your computer, managing your files and using commonly used
operating systems such as MS Windows and Mac OS.
Key
Applications
You’ll learn how to use word processing (MS Word), spreadsheet (MS
Excel) and presentation (MS PowerPoint) programs.
Living
Online
This course will show you how to use email and the Internet effectively
for work and home.
