Who is it for?
The I-CANDO programme is for anyone from any age group who wants to learn how to participate and interact in the digital online world.
I-CANDO allows learners to confidently progress and develop their skills in using digital devices to communicate, share, and learn. The programme makes learning easy and allows building of new skills in a relaxed environment.
The programme also provides a clear learning pathway, via our IC3 certification programme, for those who need to further improve their computing skills.
How does the I-CANDO
programme work?
The complete I-CANDO programme consists of seven online courses, combining video, audio (optional) text and interactivity in a fun and effective way of learning for those new to computers and technology.
Courses are completed at the learner’s pace, at any time, on any computer with an Internet connection. Each course includes practical exercises to help consolidate learning; there are plenty of opportunities for learners to check their knowledge and progress. The complete programme involves up to 60 hours of learning – although this time obviously depends on the individual learner. You’ll also have your own instructor to help you out via phone or email as needed.
Each course concludes with an online assessment for learners to check their knowledge. In cases where a score of less than 60% is achieved, a customised learning plan is automatically generated, showing the learner which parts of the course they should review.
The I-CANDO courses include optional features that help make the learning accessible to those with dyslexia, visual impairment, colour blindness and cognitive and literacy issues.
